Forum Journal Binding Review And Buying Advice
Forum Journal 2013 - 2010 Review by The Good Ride
The Forum Journal, like all other Forum bindings, have definitely improved as of late. Forum is very freestyle focused but this binding has a little wider scope of riding styles than their boards. It’s the stiffest in the line and very good for all mountain freestyle riding. The Journal still has the metal midsection but is becoming more and more like the Burton bindings every one loves.

For 2013 there was a big upgrade to Forums “Good Vibes” Tech that we are big fans of. It’s very similar to Burton’s Re:Flex tech and allows your board to flex much more naturally underfoot. It’s just a better all around ride.
For 2012 the biggest change was the ankle strap upgraded to a larger asymmetrical strap that Burton added to some of the women’s line this year. You can get a good ride out of these bindings…..especially for the price. If you like Burton and Forums tech but don’t want to blow a wad of cash the Journal might be a great call.
For 2011 there were some nice upgrades to the padding and straps to make it a better all-around binding.
