Weston Riva 2020 Review by The Good Ride
The Weston Riva women’s snowboard is a directional tapered ride with camber between the feet and rocker on the nose and tail. The Riva has a stiff flex to keep it nice and stable for you at high speeds, and it cuts through soft snow and even chunder pretty well too.
The Weston Riva thrives in fresh snow, open faces, and big bowls. It’s pretty fun on groomers as well, but it definitely shines in a more freeride environment. It’s a mid-wide board that has a medium fast turn initiation for smaller feet on hard pack, and would probably feel normal with riders with a bigger boot size. In soft snow the Riva turned pretty quickly though, and I had no problems making smaller sized turns quickly through trees in powder.
The Weston Riva would be good for an intermediate to advanced rider looking for a good backcountry/side country board, a nice stable freeride board, or a board that likes to make nice big open turns down the mountain and does well in powder.
