Set-Up:  21.5” Wide. 15 front -15 back. Close to Reference

Sizing

The 158 Arbor Wasteland Camber Felt right for our boot size and weight. Going one size down might have been better as we could use our weight to power it around a little easier. Full on camber with not lifted sides or early rise definitely feels like more board than it used to back in the early 00’s.

Shape/Camber/On Snow Feel/Ability Level

The Arbor Wasteland Camber is a directional twin with approximately 1cm more length in the nose than the tail. It also has full on camber from tip to tail. This makes for a very aggressive, technical full camber centered kind of ride for expert riders that have missed the old full camber days. It is quite locked in and will punish you if you get off your game.

Flex/Pop/Buttering

Not easy to butter with the Arbor Wasteland Camber. It takes a strong technical rider to do so and that isn’t me. The medium to medium stiff flex throughout the board doesn’t help you butter. You have to make it happen and there are no cheater softer spots to help you like many hybrid shapes out there. It pops well but needs a strong rider to access it as well.

Speed

The base has good upper tier glide. Not top tier but for sure upper tier. What makes the Arbor Wasteland Camber a fun board for picking up speed is how damp the overall ride is.

Uneven Terrain

The Arbor Wasteland Camber is great for all day riding and it can handle a crowded resort no problem. It doesn’t pass up what is happening below your feet into your joints and it felt damp.

Edge Hold

A touch on the grippy side. Without rocker or lifted sides the Arbor Wasteland Camber has 4 contact points and you can feel it. It still isn’t as grippy or as grabby like full on Magnetraction but having those 2 extra contact points per edge with full camber makes you feel the grip tech bumps a little more.

Turn Initiation

Medium/Fast but not super turny. We could engage the turn pretty quick but then when on edge it slows down a little bit.

Turning Experience/Carving

Not a real circle carver but not a super wide turner either. Kind of right in the middle so it can do a little of each which is always fun. We all had a blast really laying into turns and it is fun to be on full camber. The Parabolic Camber in the Arbor Westmark Camber isn’t massive but you get a lot more out of it than you would think.

Powder

Not for us. It’s for old school camber twin riders.

Park

Not an ideal jib board but a great old school pipe and jump ride. Great for those that like to go big.

Conclusion

So the Arbor Wasteland Camber isn’t for everyone but for those that want a full camber directional twin with a little extra grip might really appreciate this board.
