Alloy B-Bomb 2019 - 2016 Review by The Good Ride
The 2019 Alloy B-Bomb dropped the full camber and went back to a hybrid camber that has a little camber between the feet, flat after and then transitions to rocker. It makes the ride a lot easier than it was last year and while it doesn’t have the pop it also doesn’t have the consequence or the cartwheeling nature camber has in powder.

How This Review Happened: We borrowed this for an extended demo and then returned it.
Conditions: Soft snow to pretty firm snow with some good patches.

Alloy B-Bomb Past Reviews
The Alloy B-Bomb went full camber for 2018 and makes it a much more technical and aggressive mountain twin. It’s not going to ride well in powder but it sure will carve and bomb better.
The Alloy B-Bomb is a fun playfull all mountain twin and our only complaint would be to see a little more pop and carving ability.
Conditions: Really good snow 2 days, really hard snow another and almost 1′ of powder.

Conditions: Good snow with some left over powder and good groomers.

Approximate Weight: Feels normal bordering on light.
On Snow Feel: Stable and easy to ride but missing that feel that you get with more camber. It’s got Nidecker’s old CamRock hybrid camber technology with only a little bit of camber between the feet so it’s a mostly rocker board. It’s an easy cruiser.
Powder: Pretty good for a twin and floated well in the leftover powder.
Turn Initiation: Very easy and quick edge to edge for us.
Skidded Turns: Super easy so good for riders of all levels.
Carving: You can make some mellow carves and that mellow camber helps you do more than you would think but it’s washy and not the best for those that really like to lay into turns on the hill.
Speed: Decent mountain speed for a 155.
Uneven Terrain: Very easy to weave in and out of bumpy turns.
Edge Hold: Pretty strong edge hold that does well in hard snow we found in some steeper bare spots.
Flex: Easy Medium flex that allows you to butter without buttering onto your ass like some camrock boards can do.
Switch: Only thing we have found that’s better is an asymmetrical twin
Jibbing: We don’t have many jibs up but the few that we tried the B-Bomb held well.
Pipe: No pipe yet but seems like it would be ok with the edge hold and stable ride. Not something to blow your mind but ok.
