Forum Destroyer DoubleDog 2013 - 2012 Review by The Good Ride
The Forum Destroyer Doubledog is a super playful super fun freestyle ride. We like that they kept the camber Destroyer, canned the Chilidog and added the Doubledog. If you can live with the average edge hold the Destroyer Double Dog will do very well as a mellow all mountain freestyle board that is loose, poppy and very playful.
Ethics Statement: We don’t get paid by the manufacturer to write these reviews. We do make money from the “Where To Buy” links, but this is our best attempt at an honest and objective review from an average riders’ perspective.

Ah man, what a soft, spinny and playful forum board. Forum does hybrid rocker well. It’s no high speed all mountain freestyle assault board but we all had a blast enjoying all that the park had to offer and playing around the mountain.
On Snow Feel: It’s not a speedy groomer board but all we wanted to do was play around and turn the mountain into a park. It was fun to make a few turns, butter, Ollie, spin etc. around the mountain. It’s not for higher speed groomer assaults or really a groomer board but if you want to leave the park and look for natural stuff it’s going to be great.
Powder: The Destroyer Double Dog is small and not really a powder board. Still, it floats well for its size but it’s no pow board.
Turn Initiation and Carving: Super easy edge to edge and that just makes everything easier in the park. Short radius turns are effortless and medium to wide radius turns are ok as long at there isn’t too much speed. Carving is better than we expected but it’s no all mountain board.
Speed: The Destroyer Double Dog is chattery and will be exposed on most medium to long groomers. It’s just a little faster than the Destroyer Double Dog but just about as chattery. We found that the speed
Edge Hold: Most Burton and Forum boards have a small extension at each binding mount of about 1/2mm that gives a little extra edge hold. Forum has a different hybrid rocker profile with one less bend and we think that is why Forum has better edge hold than Burton boards. The edge hold is acceptable but we’d love to see a little more for an all conditions ride.
Weight- This felt lighter than most or all of the forum boards we tried. Very easy on the feet
Switch: Super easy switch.
Rails/Jibbing: Great in the jib park. We had a blast on just about any jib in our ability level. If you are a serious technical jibber there might be better boards but we loved the soft and forgiving nature of this ride in the jib park
Pipe: Not enough edge hold to rock the pipe full time but it will do well on a soft sunny day. The more time you spend in the jib park with this board the worse it will be in the pipe but most of you know that.
Jumps: Our favorite part of the Destroyer Double Dog was its ability to Ollie and spring off kickers. It’s way too much fun. We were really pleased with the jump ability. This was one of our favorite boards to Ollie around the mountain on.
All in all the forum Destroyer Double Dog is a board we had a blast on. If they added more edge hold this could be a practically perfect all conditions park board.
