Volcom Elm Gore-Tex Bib Overalls 2023 - 2019 Review by The Good Ride
The Volcom Elm Gore-Tex Bib Overall are durable slimmer fitting bibs that have great waterproofing as well as breathability. They should be great for wearing as is in warmer weather or layering up for the cold, wet storm days. They are packed with features like water repellent zippers, stretch panels on the sizes, kick panels, and jacket to pant interface.

Fit
The Elm Bibs have a slimmer tailored looking fit, they seemed to fit true to size as well. They have stretch panels on the sides above the hips that give a little slimmer fit but have a nice comfortable stretch to them so movements are not restricted.
Construction
They seem to be a well-made bib and should be durable for a lot of laps, they also have a re-enforced hem at the bottom of the pants for added durability.
Insulation/Warmth
No insulation on these pants so they are just a shell. They do have a full mesh lining so they feel a little smoother against the skin.
Waterproofing
Gore-Tex provides around 28k waterproofing that should be great for even the wet stormy days.
Breathability
20K breathability.
Packability
Semi packable given that they are only a shell but not super compactable.
Overall
The Volcom Elm Gore-Tex Bibs seem to be a well-constructed quality pant that will give you great waterproofing in even the soggiest of storms with great breathability as well. I liked the way they fit, it’s a little slim and tailored but they are still comfortable and have room to layer underneath as well. They have a mid-range price point at $320 but for the tech you get, it could be worth it.
