Burton AK 2L Summit 2014 Review by The Good Ride

The Burton AK 2L Summit Pant is a very technical 2 Layer Gore-Tex shell with very light, stretchy and thin fabric that makes for an excellent backcountry pant right up there with many of the highest end ski pants. This is for those that want the best and lightest.  Are one issue is it doesn’t have front pockets next to the zipper. Mary and Heather were kind of bummed about that but at least it has pockets above the knees and a back pocket.  It’s got enough room to layer up with out looking like a guys pant. You will want to layer because this is a shell with a thin lining.  It’s made to protect you from wind and wet weather but not keep you warm.  If you hike a lot or spend most of your time in the backcountry this is a great pant for you.
