Burton AK 2L Stratus 2014 Review by The Good Ride

The Burton AK 2L Stratus Pant offers up a pant that has the same waterproofing and breathability as the Summit Pant but it just doesn’t have the fancy stretchy material. This is a shell with lining so it’s not warm but it’s got a great shield up from water and wind. This is for those that love to hike and ride a lot.  If you are a side country or back country rider you will like these pants a lot and if you are a mountain rider who sees lot’s of weather this will work almost as well. This is a very minimalist pant and it only has a few pockets.

Burton AK 2L Stratus Snowboard Pant Review SKU UPC Model

Poor quality and customer service

Poor quality pant not backed by Burton! I rode these pants for about one and a half seasons before the started falling apart. Small tears in random places (thigh area, calf area, back of upper leg, by the pockets). Burton advertises these pants as a durable 100 day per season pant. When I sent them back they returned them suggesting that this defect was “normal wear and tear”. I have gotten way more life out of a generic brand of gortex pants from my local outoor co-op store at about half the retail price of these. I would not recomend these pants or any Burton outdoor clothing based on there poor quality and lack of backing their product.
