Burton Prism Gore-Tex Jacket 2014 Review by The Good Ride

The Burton Prism Gore-Tex Jacket offers high-end waterproofing along with a good bit of extra warmth at a pretty reasonable price. This is one of the better jackets out there for women who see cold or cold and wet conditions often and also don’t want to layer up as much.  There is a good bit of warmth going on with this jacket and although not a puffy its got some warmth going.  The insulation runs throughout the jacket from waist to sleeve and it makes for a pretty complete jacket. It also has room to layer up under if it’s really cold or you just run cold.  It runs a little baggier than the AK line but it still isn’t like a guy’s jacket. There is a little articulation to make it look like a girls jacket but the primary goal of this jacket is warmth and waterproofing. This is a nice combo of gore-tex with a decent amount of insulation so it gives you more than a shell but also doesn’t overheat you if temps warm up.
