Burton AK 2L Flare Down 2014 Review by The Good Ride

The Burton AK 2L Flare Down Jacket is incredibly expensive but if you find yourself mostly wearing a shell with a puffy underneath then this should call to you as you.  This is Burton’s bomber jacket and it’s not that often you find a puffy that has really solid waterproofing.

The articulating hood starts closer to the front of the collar so it covers more of your face and acts closer to a contour hood. The warmth is exceptional and you don’t often see goose down in a snowboarding jacket.  It matches the quality of the higher end ski jackets and it’s not as bulky as the specs would suggest.
