DC Kush 2014 - 2013 Review by The Good Ride
The DC Kush has a lace BOA hybrid thing going that seems similar at first to the K2 boots that have laces on the outside and BOA on the inside for the liner. It’s a little bit different though. The BOA here is more for just addressing heel hold and just targets around the ankle. For those that have heel issues, this could be a good call. The laces aren’t easy to tighten like all traditional laces but they do lock in place. They almost do as good a job as speed lace and some double BOA boots that have a separate upper and lower. To me, this is hybrid done right. You get more upper/lower adjustability while still locking in your ankle pretty well with the lower BOA. You also get a pretty responsive well-rounded boot with a pretty reduced footprint. All in all, this isn’t a bad boot.

These boots are great. Really held my heal in and were very comfortable all around. No pressure points. Lacing is a bitch and the lace definitely needs a double knot but this is a great boot.
HOWEVER, these will grow at least 3/4 of a size in 40 days of riding or so, and quality definitely deteriorates fast.
Great boot, average quality, and won't last very long.
