Nutrient Survival Homestyle Scramble 2020 Review
Nutrient Survival Homestyle Scramble 2020 Review by The Good Ride
This Homestyle Scramble from Nutrient Survival is full of all the protein, vitamins, minerals, fiber and omegas that you need to fuel your day. This scramble is a mix of potatoes, eggs, peppers and cheese. And it re-hydrates quite quickly for being a dehydrated meal. It is sold in #10 cans, and there are 10 servings per can.

Weight: It comes in a #10 can, so you can bring whatever amount you want with you on your adventure in whatever container you prefer. So the weight depends on the amount you bring.
Taste: The first ingredient in the Homestyle Scramble is potatoes. So there is more of a potato flavor than an egg flavor. It is seasoned and has the cheese and peppers in there, and the flavor is pretty good. I thought it was a little light and would probably add some hot sauce or other things to spice it up a bit if I took this out hiking with me. But there’s a good flavor blend of the potatoes, cheese and egg in there.
Re-hydrate Time: I’m impressed at the re-hydrate times of all Nutrient Survival‘s meals. It says to let it sit for 4-5 minutes. I went a little over and it was around 7 minutes for my scramble. Everything was fully hydrated within 7 minutes.
Overall: If you are looking for an easy to make breakfast before hitting the slopes, or while out backpacking the Homestyle Scramble from Nutrient Survival might be a good choice. I like that it comes in the bigger can so you can customize your own serving size.
I like that Nutrient Survival focuses on having a complete nutrient based meal in all their products. They are the first dehydrated meal company that I have come across that does that. I know when I do longer backpacking trips that I would prefer to know I’m getting all the nutrients I need instead of just filling my stomach with food to be full.
