Summary

The Jones Decent 19L Backpack is well made and super simple but it doesn't skip most of the features you need for short slackcountry missions that I've used it for.

Jones DSCNT 19L 2019 Review by The Good Ride

Ethics Statement: We don’t get paid by the manufacturer to write these reviews.  We do make money from the “Where To Buy” links, but this is our best attempt at an honest and objective review from an average riders’ perspective.

How This Review Happened: Precious Good Ride dollars were spent to buy this and review it.

Days: 50+

Conditions: Tons of slackcountry time in everything from summer snow to waist deep + powder with my Drift Boards, Union Rovers & Split boards

Riders: James

I have now spent many years with the Jones Dscnt and I can give you this follow up review. It’s not the lightest but it is by far the most durable and functional pack I’ve every owned. I’ve tried several other packs at this point and none match this when it comes to using approach Ski’s like Drift Boards and Union Rovers.

This is why I like this pack soo much. It carries my helmet flush against my board so no snow gets in. It also holds my board incredibly tight so it doesn’t wobble when I Drift or hike with it.  I can also flip the helmet carrier around the other way when split boarding and carry it center pack.
