Candy Grind CG Glove 2018 - 2016 Review by The Good Ride
The Candy Grind CG Glove is built well and has every feature I would want except for snot wipes. If you are ok with that then you have a very good glove. I’ve ridden these for 2 years and both of these gloves never have the liner pull out and they hold up well.

Size Tried: Medium
Width Across The Knuckles: 3.5”
Middle Finger to Wrist 7.5”
Widest Part of the Hand 4.5”
Construction– This is a very well built glove. For this kind of warmth, the CG Habitats Glove is supposed to fit well around a hand and it does that. Other than some minor fringing of the leather cuts in the reinforcement, the seems all seem to be in really good order and you can tell this glove is for people that ride a lot but also grab their board a lot. I like how my GG glove held up in the past and how the new one I have held up so far.
Warmth- There is enough room for thinner liners to go in but it’s not the kind of glove you want for really cold conditions. I would say that I run a little on the warm side. This can get a little hot on warmer days but I’ve never frozen when a normal Sierra day turned a bit colder.
Fit- Really good fit. It’s easier, but not easy, to fit a glove without insulation around a hand but when you add insulation it’s not. This isn’t super puffy or anything like that but it fits’ better than you would think for the amount of insulation it has. I love how this fit’s around my very true size Med hands.
Waterproofing– One of the problems with outerwear and gloves is it’s hard to real-world test waterproofing/breathability. All I can say is the glove doesn’t take in water and it’s been good for me so far.
Overall Design– the leash, asymmetrical entry point, and velcro strap work well. It’s a great park glove and a pretty strong all-mountain glove.
So yeah this doesn’t have Gore-Tex and isn’t a super well-known product but it’s a great glove. If they added snot wipes It would be perfect to me but even as it stands the GG Habitats Glove is a great choice for those that ride in warm to somewhat cold conditions that people like me often see.
