Backpackers Pantry Creme Brulee 2020 Review by The Good Ride
The Backpackers Pantry Creme Brulee was a delicious surprise out in the backcountry. I really didn’t expect it to be as tasty as it was. There is also quite a bit of Creme Brulee in the packet for a decent price. If you are looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth while out hiking, or want a sweet reward at the end of a long day on the trail, this Creme Brulee really hit the spot for us.

How This Review Happened: We spent our precious Good Ride dollars to purchase this and test it out.
Weight: 4.6 ounces
Taste: Maxi and I both thought this Creme Brulee was delicious. It set up really nicely and had the consistency of what you would expect from Creme Brulee. The crunchy sugar topping added the right finishing element. It wasn’t flame burned like you get in a restaurant but it was pretty close.
Re-hydrate Time/Preparation: You first have to get the topping packet out of the bag, which was a mess for me. It got the Creme Brulee powder everywhere. Then you pour in the water and mix quickly for 2 min. Let sit for 10 min. Sprinkle the crunchy topping goodness on top and you are good to go. The consistency when warm is a little loose, but it sets up more as it cools.
Overall: Maxi and I both thought this was delicious. It is pretty awesome to have the option of such a fancy treat in the middle of the backcountry. There is even enough to share with a couple friends…Or enough to just keep it all for yourself too. Whatever floats your boat. If you are a Creme Brulee fan in normal life, you might like the Backpackers Pantry version of it in trail life.
