Fit

The cut seems to be tight around the thighs but loose everywhere else which makes it hard for Davey and I with thicker thighs to step or use the front pockets. It felt baggy and great for Grant as well.

Construction/Waterproofing.

There is excellent construction happening here with a very durable outer material. It doesn’t shed rain or wet snow as well as some but it’s not going to get through the Gore-Tex membrane very easy. It worked very well for Davey in everything down to rain for close to 100 days.

Venting

Decent inner thigh venting but not on par with Burton’s continuous inner venting system.

Pockets

Lots of good pockets throughout the bib but we weren’t into the size zip pockets.

Liner

Volcom has a mesh liner in most places that does slightly expose the Gore-Tex membrane but all you need to do is make sure you wash it a little more so your sweat n such doesn’t deteriorate the membrane.

Volcom Rain Gore-Tex Bib Past Reviews

The Volcom Rain GTX Bib is constructed out of 2-layer Gore-Tex fabric and has a heavy durable feel. Overall the bib is very well constructed and cold work for someone who likes the fit.
