This is a look at the Membrane Solutions Squeeze Water System. This is an affordable water filtration system that is simple to use and can be brought along on hiking trips, travel, or anywhere you have a water source that you’d like to filter.

What’s In The Box?

The Squeeze Water System comes in packs of 2, 4, and 6. You can purchase the packs with or without a filter, depending on if you need one or not. The box also comes with mini carabiners and lids w/caps for every bottle.

Using The Filter

The Squeeze Water System is very simple to set up and use. Just fill one of the bottles with the water you want to filter. Attach the threaded top of the bottle to the threaded base of the filter. And squeeze the water through.

It took me about 2minutes to filter a full 22oz bottle of water through the filter.

You will know it is time to change the filter when it takes a lot of effort to squeeze the water through the filter.

The filter also fits any 28mm threaded bottle. So you can use it with any bottle you’d like if you have one you prefer.

The 5 Stage Filter

The filtration straw can filter up to 5,000 liters of water. And uses an ultrafiltration membrane to filter out 99.99999% of bacteria and other harmful substances that might be in the water.

The Squeeze Bottle

The bottles that come in this set can pack down to a very small size. This makes them good for backpacking or saving space. They don’t weigh much (about 2 oz). And they come with a flat base so they are somewhat stable when you set them down. The bottles are a bit unstable when you first start filling them with water. But after there is a bit of water in there, they stay put much better.

The caps on the bottle are easy to drink from. And they also pour right out too. So it is easy to pour water into a pan, or other water reservoir as well.

Filling The Water

I was using this filtration system in a river. The running water made it somewhat easy to fill the bottle. But it would be more efficient to fill a water mouthed bottle with water and then pour it into the Squeeze Water Bottle. It took a few tries to get the water bottle all the way full in the river. But it is doable.

Overall

The Membrane Solutions Squeeze Water System is a good budget friendly choice for filtering water on the go. It would be good for backpacking trips, day hikes, or even travel. It is simple to use as well, and has multiple ways to use it. The system can filter up to 5,000 liters of water on one filtration straw. There are other filtration systems out there that can filter more water but they come at a higher price. So it just depends on what is more important to you.

Overall it is a functional and easy system to use, that comes at a pretty reasonable price.
