How This Review Happened

Weight: 1 lbs 1.1 oz
Minimum Length: 24″
Maximum Length: 54″
Carbon Fiber
These trekking poles are made with 3k carbon fiber. They were engineered to be stronger than most carbon fiber poles on the market. The width of the carbon fiber tube is thicker than most trekking poles have. This helps improve the strength and durability of the pole, and also adds to their dampening abilities as well.
These poles were designed to work with the Get Out Gear Trekchair. The chair uses these poles in the back support of the chair. So they were made extra strong to support people up to 265 lbs that use the chair.
EZ Metal Flip Lock
The poles come with a flip lock, telescoping design. The flip locks are made fully of metal, so they were built to withstand a lot of use. I tested these poles on a handful of multi-mile hikes and purposely tried to catch the flip locks on things as I was hiking. They stayed firmly in place and never loosened or budged.
The flip lock is also very easily loosened or tightened by using a metal dial on the side.
Handles/Grips
These trekking poles come with EVA foam grip extenders and cork hand grips. Both of these add in the dampening of the poles and the cork hand grips help to wick sweat away as you hike.
Wrist Straps
The straps on the poles are pretty lush. They have a sherpa type inner lining that helps prevent rubbing against the skin, and they stay firmly in place as you hike. The straps never needed adjusting as I used them.
Case and Accessories
The Get Out Gear Trekking Poles come with their own carrying case, and different tip attachments. They come with tungsten carbide metal tips, rubber feet attachments, and mud baskets.
Overall
The Get Out Gear Carbon Fiber Trekking Poles seem like they are built to last. They are made with extra thick carbon fiber, and have a lot of great comfort features to them as well. I love the metal flip locks, and the cork hand grips. They aren’t an ultralight carbon fiber pole, but they are a good trade off for a lightweight pole that is still extra durable. They are also at a great competitive price point for carbon fiber poles.
I haven’t had the chance to take these out on a mulct-day trip yet. But I did test them on multiple day hikes, and was happy with how they preformed. I found them comfortable to use and loved that I only had to adjust the poles once at the beginning of the hike, and they stayed put for the rest of the day.
