Head Instinct 2015 Review by The Good Ride

The Head Instinct has a similar approach to the hybrid rocker game but with its own little twist in the sidecut and hybrid rocker profile.  It’s nothing incredibly different but it ends up being a decent ride.

I've been riding a Head Instinct board for two years and agree with the video review here. Does the board do everything that Head claims? Absolutely. Is it because of all the technology? I'm not sure. But who cares.

Frankly, I started reading reviews for this board despite owning it for two years because I couldn't believe it was *that* much better than my last Head board, the previous generation with ICT-chip. On concrete corduroy and icy crud, this board still finds an edge. Plus, it's way quieter than my last board. On powder, which there was a ton of at my hill this year, it got up on top of the snow easily. No small feat, given my weight. So for a couple of years, I've been in a state of disbelief that this board is so much better than the last version. That's why I actually spend some time today looking for validation of my opinion. I agree with the video reviewers. A very sweet ride.
