Positives
- Incredibly Light
- Breathes Much Higher Than It's Rating
- Great Fit
- Excellent Uphill Travel Jacket
Negatives
- Not as much windproofing/waterproofing as the regular Faze Pant
Summary
The Skyline Faze Light Pant offers incredible breathability and a really great fit/feel for an ultra-light pant like this. It's a great choice for uphill travel as long as you aren't in super cold, super wet conditions.Where To Buy

How It Was Tested
I put 20+ days on this late spring at Mt Bachelor. This was tested in everything from straight up rain, to wet snow to ok pow to really warm sunny days. I used this for a lot of uphill travel/hiking as well as riding the lifts.
Fit
The Skyline Faze Pant fit me really well in a size medium and it didn’t have that tightness around the thighs like the regular Faze did. I can easily access the front pockets where it was a little tight with the regular Faze.
Construction
There isn’t a single design flaw I found and the construction is excellent. Skyline is working towards seemless construction and they try their best to minimize points of failure in the jacket. This is evident wtih the construction.
Waterproofing/Windproofing/Breathability
If you want something that will kill it in wet snow and gnarly winds you need to get the regular Faze Pant. That is much better. It still handled rain and wet snow pretty well for a pant like this. j This is better for breathability and is one of the easiest breathing jackets I’ve ever tried. I don’t think Skyline’s breathability rating is accurate as I never needed to open the vents in 60+ degree Farenheight weather. It felt light and breathable and was the perfect protection against the sun.
Conclusion
I really like this pant and the jacket as well. I rode this all spring 2024 and never really wanted to wear anything else. It’s an excellent jacket for split boarding or those that run super warm and want a light/versatile jacket.
