The North Face Women's Ceptor Bib Pant 2019 Review by The Good Ride
The North Face Ceptor Bibs are made to charge. The construction and fabric look and feel tough. They are made out of a 3 Layer Dry Vent material that is supposed to be very waterproof and very breathable. These would be good for the rider who wants to custom layer under the shell depending on the weather and does a lot of storm shredding.

Size: Small
Steph’s Specs:
Height: 5’3”
Weight: 108 lbs
Waist: 27”
Hips: 35”
Inseam 29”
Upper Thigh 19” Circumference
Middle Thigh 18” Circumference
Calves 13”
Fit
The Ceptor Bib has a regular fit that seemed a bit on the bigger side to me. It still fits me, but I think because the bib part seems to be wider than other ones I’ve tried I felt like I had more room in the torso area than other bibs. And they do come up higher than some bibs on the sides for ample protection from incoming snow.
Construction
Seems to be a really tough fabric they used as well as construction. I feel like these bibs would take a while to start showing signs of wear and tear. They have fully taped seams as well as what looks like waterproof zippers. The fabric is a little on the stiff side but seems to be tough, and there are kick panels at the bottom of the pant legs as well.
Insulation/Warmth
It is only a shell, but it is a 3 layer construction fabric that should block the wind really well.
Waterproofing
The Ceptor Bibs come with a 3 Layer Dry Vent system from North Face that is supposed to be highly waterproof. Should keep you dry in the gnarly wet days without a problem.
Breathability
Not specified but the Dry Vent system is supposed to be very breathable as well as waterproof.
Packability
I think they could pack down pretty good, but the material is a little stiff so you don’t get ample packability.
Overall
The North Face Ceptor Bibs seem very tough, the fabric looks high quality and I think they are built really well. They would be good for someone that likes to custom layer to the daily weather and does a lot of storm riding.
