How This Review Happened
We were fortunate enough to visit the Jones headquarters in Truckee California and film this review in their beautiful new studio.
Fit
The Jones shralpinist gore-tex pro pant has a normal fit. Not too tight or too baggy. These pants are roomy enough to reach a full stride on the skin track, without feeling bulky.
Construction
Extra burley three layer gore-tex pro fabric in the seat and knees for added durability. Very high quality seem welding and minimalist stitching.
Waterproofing/Breathability
The Jones shralpinist gore-tex pro pant is at the pinnacle of waterproofing technology. I haven’t been able to field test this pair of pants, but I have worn other gore-tex pro pants and they will keep you dry for hours in the rain. Not going to be as breathable as the shralpinist stretch bibs, but these pants are going to be more waterproof.
Pockets
2 pockets total. 2 large front zipper pockets with a mesh media holder. No rear pockets
Gaitors/Cuffs
Standard boot gaitor.
Venting
2 large zippered side vents on the outside of the thighs. No inner crotch vents.
Buttons
2 extra sturdy buttons on the waist.
Liner
The Jones shralpinist gore-tex pro pant has a typical gore-tex liner. Not the softest to the touch but ideally you won’t have bare skin against this fabric.
Conclusion
The Jones shralpinist gore-tex pro pant is ideal for big days that bring variable conditions. The three layer gore-tex pro fabric is the apex of waterproofing technology. These pants will handle every condition the mountain can throw at you, even hours of rain. A great option for the 100+ day a year rider, someone that sees a lot of moisture, or for someone that just pushes their gear to limit.

Bombproof gear
Wow is this great gear. A must if you are in wet snow. Absolutely the best in keeping you dry. Very durable material and looks cool also. Expensive but wort it in my opinion. Not glow worm gear for posers but great lasting pants. 10/10
