Burton Hellbrook 2018 - 2013 Review by The Good Ride
The Burton Hellbrook Pant is not amazing when it comes to waterproofing and breathability but its got a ton of pockets, excellent venting and can work for a lot of riders. Also, the double button makes it a great pant to keep on without a belt. It’s got a fit very similar to the Burton AK Swash and Burton knows how to build a good pant around most riders bodies.

Turn On’s: Size M pants that fit well around my thighs, Riding with Friends, Open Roads, new gear and especially my wife.
Turn Off’s: M Pants that I can’t get up over my thighs, traffic, and people who can’t park inside the lines.
Fit: Mid fit means a somewhat tight fit. This use to be considered tight but now there are skin tight so we call this semi-tight. Not much room in here for layering and feels pretty tight around the pockets.
Construction: Well made and should last a long time. I’ve owned a ton of Burton pants and none have ever failed on me.
Insulation/Warmth: Just a pant with some decent fabric so it’s not a warmth provider but not an ultra-techy shell either.
Waterproofing: 15k Burton waterproofing does a pretty good job. It’s no Gore-Tex pant but its good waterproofing for the price point.
Breathability: Missing a bit of breathability for those that heat up quickly. If you run hot like me you could get a little sauna crotch going.
Overall: It’s a great pant and works very well for the kind of rider that doesn’t spend a lot of time on their butt yet also needs a little extra waterproofing from time to time.
