Burton Fly 2014 Review by The Good Ride

The Burton Fly Pant offers a little more warmth than your average shell pant and makes for a good choice for those that run a little cold.  There is Thinsulate lining throughout the pant and it’s pretty warm. Combine this with a good puffy or heavily insulated jacket you will be pretty toasty. Most can get away with a thin layer underneath in most weather but there is room for more if you need it. It’s a little loose but it also doesn’t have a guys pant-type of feel. 10k waterproofing and breathability don’t mean it’s bomb proof but it can handle most wet pow days just fine and it will take a lot to get through on a wet day.  It’s just not going to perform like Gore-Tex or 15-20k waterproof jackets. So you trade a little waterproofing for warmth but for most that trade will be a good one.
