I tested the 3 in 1 Outdoor Jacket in a variety of conditions over the course of a couple weeks. I wore it around town, to the man, and outside during different activities. The removable fleece layer is very comfortable. It does well as a light jacket on its own.

My first impression was how comfortable the jacket felt with the super soft liner on the inside. It also works pretty well with a helmet. The hood fit over the top of my helmet with minimal restriction. I did get a little bit of pressure and restriction when turning my head, but it wasn’t bad.

There is a double flap over the front zipper that helps keep the wind and moisture out. Unfortunately we haven’t seen any snow storms yet, so I wasn’t able to test it in gnarly weather, but I imagine it would be pretty warm. The website doesn’t list a waterproof rating, but the material seems to be waterproof enough for your average storm you might see.

There were a couple of things that didn’t quite work for me.

One, the sleeve length was a little on the short side for me. I usually size up to a med to ensure the sleeves are long enough for my arms. But these were still a little on the short side. They rode up when I reached down to strap my bindings on when I was riding. And my mittens came untucked frequently on the mountain.

Two, no pit vents. I think for using the 3 in 1 Outdoor Jacket during a physical sport, pit vents would be very beneficial to the overall function of the jacket.

Overall

You get a lot of jacket at a great price with the 3 in 1 Outdoor jacket from OutdoorMaster. The fleece liner / jacket is great for adding insulation, or wearing on its own. The outer shell is comfortable and comes with nice features too.
