Summary

The Nikita Sycamore Jacket is a stylish fully insulated jacket that comes with 15k waterproofing and a very comfortable fit. It has a nice length in the torso without being too baggy and long. It comes with everything you need and nothing you don't. Just enough bells and whistles to keep it simple and functional.

Size Tried: Small
Steph’s Specs:
Height: 5’3”
Weight: 108 lbs
Chest: 29”
Upper Chest: 32”
Arm Length (pit to wrist) 20”
Neck: 12.5″
Torso Length (collarbone to pant line) 18”
Shoulder Width 16” wide

For 2021 Nikita joined up with the B4BC (Boarding for Breast Cancer Foundation) and came up with this really cool looking jacket. (There are also pants to go along with it.) The fit and feel of this Nikita Sycamore Jacket was awesome. It also comes in many other colors.

Sizing

I tried this in a size small. Usually a size small doesn’t fit me in the arms, and the shoulders tend to be a little tight for my comfort. But the Sycamore jacket had a decent length in the arms as well as the perfect width in the shoulders. The torso length was also right in the sweet spot, giving you the right length for warmth and protection from snow without being too long and baggy.

Warmth

This jacket comes with 60g of eco-down in the body, and 40g in the sleeves. It was the perfect amount of warmth for me in most general winter conditions. Keeps you warm without overheating.

Waterproofing

It comes with 15k waterproofing that kept me dry in most storms this winter. It isn’t as good as a Gore-Tex fabric, but it does well in most average storm conditions. As long as it isn’t super wet snow you should be fine.

Helmet/Hood Fit

This jacket has a great fit when you put the hood over your helmet. It allows for you to turn your head without blocking your vision or feeling restrictive.

There were only a couple things that I think could be improved on to make the Sycamore jacket even more awesome. The arm cuff openings were a little small if you want to put some bulkier gloves under your sleeves. A small pleat near the velcro strap could fix this maybe. Also the media port was a little difficult to get my headphone plug into. (I have the new i-phone headphones that have a rectangle plug instead of a round one).

Overall

The Nikita Sycamore Jacket would be good for someone who wants a stylish, comfortable, insulated jacket. It does well in most all winter conditions you’ll see and will keep you warm and dry in most situations. The fit and feel of the Sycamore Jacket were great. It is fully insulated, but still felt light when wearing it. I love that it gave me the freedom to move in all directions while riding.
