Positives
- Warm for How Thin it is
- Well Built
- Tight Collar Doesn't Let Snow In
Negatives
- Pockets Don't Have Zippers
Summary
The Jones Ultra Re-Up Down Puffy doesn't have zippers on the waist pockets but is very thin, warm, and has a great seal at the collar. I've thoroughly enjoyed this jacket as a mid-layer on the mountain and as a dry but cool-weather jacket around town. It is going to be a year-round companion for snowboarding, nights around town, and camping.Where To Buy

Fit
The fit is snug but flattering. It works really well as a second layer under a jacket but still has a flattering fit if I wear it as my primary jacket.
Construction
It’s a pretty simple but well-built jacket.
Waterproofing/Breathability
There is nothing mentioned about waterproofing/breathability specs, but I’ve found the outer layer to resist rain and wet snow rather well.
Cuff/Glove Compatibility
The cuffs work well under a jacket with and without wrist gaiters. I never felt it in the way with a jacket on over it.
Pockets
There are two waist/hand warming pockets and one chest pocket outside. There are 2 skin pockets on the inside. I do wish the waist pockets had zippers so I could put something in there and not worry about it falling out.
Conclusion
Overall, the Jones Ultra Re-Up Puffy surprised me. Not only is it warm for how light it is, but it just feels good on. I kept choosing this over my Burton AK BK Light Insulator, my go-to light insulation for over six years.
