Burton AK Gore-Tex Helitack Jacket 2020 - 2016 Review by The Good Ride

The Burton AK Gore-Tex Helitack Jacket is big and warm! This 2-layer Gore-tex jacket is lined with burtons thermacore insulation and has plenty of pockets. This is Burtons warmest synthetic insulated, Gore-Tex jacket.

Terrible outer material quality

I bought this Jacket last year. After roughly 35 days on the slopes, the outer material is already very wearn out and the jacket looks like shit now. That is not acceptable for a jacket that costs more than 600 euros.

Burton advertises with lifetime warranty but unfortunately denies the warranty here.

This jacket has been updated since the review of this. In 2016 this jacket had 200g of insulation, now it’s 120g with a stretchy lining to help with movement. I have this jacket and it’s the real deal. I’d love to hear what you think of the updated Helitack, James
