Burton AK 2L LZ Down 2013 - 2012 Review by The Good Ride
The Burton AK 2L LZ Down Jacket is really pricey but about as warm and waterproof as you can get when it comes to a jacket. This is more than most people need when it comes to warmth but if you live in a really cold mountain, camp in the backcountry or go to AK then this might be worth the money. The AK 2L LZ down jacket is pretty much the cyclic body with the Stagger hood and a lot of insulation. The design isn’t revolutionary but it’s well thought out and very well made. This is the kind of jacket that should keep the coldest people warm or warm people warm in really cold conditions. Gore-Tex and Down are very expensive so that is why it’s 500+ when you combine the 2.

Worth every dollar. This jacket is perfect. Will always keep you warm. I ride with this jacket for 6-7 years already and it never disappointed me in the rain and in cold times.
Delivers
I have purchased the jacket at the beginning of the season. I wore it in light rain and the water only stayed on the surface. At -15 Celsius I had only one layer and a protection vest underneath and it didn't feel cold although I hadn't been moving for few minutes. Wore it in the same setup at 0 Celsius while freeriding (high calories burn for me) and I got just a bit hot with vents closed. It looks VERY well, I also wear it when going out or at work. Leaks very very few feathers. I would buy it again (got a deal on e-bay)
