Arbor Hemlock 2019 - 2017 Review by The Good Ride

The Arbor Hemlock binding is a new binding for 2017 and the demo model impressed us but there were some construction issues.  We just got our hands on the production model and we liked it a lot more.  The downside is the ratchets are sticky but at least they hold well.  If you can get past that the upside is you have great shock absorption, great fitting straps, a really dynamic flex underfoot and it’s one of the best bindings we have experienced when it comes to buttering.  It really pairs up well with Arbor’s continuous rocker boards or easy turning freestyle boards and it’s good for the price point. We haven’t tested the Hemlock 2019 but we were told the ratchets were completely redesigned. We tried the 2019 Cypress that also had a ratchet redesign, and if they are the same ratchets then all is well with the 2019 Arbor Hemlock.

This video is about how it compares with all mountain boards with a good bit of camber in it and it really struggled to turn my all mountain OZ Custom Woody.

This is the review of the demo model but it’s not as good as the production model.
