Testing Conditions
I tested these in mostly sunny conditions, since they are a darker goggle lens, but I also wore them in a bit of cloudy and overcast conditions too. I didn’t get to try them in stormy weather yet.

Changing The Lens
The Roca goggles come with easily removable magnetic lenses, so you can swap them out without removing the goggles. They have two locks on both sides of the lens that you flip out, and then you just pull the lenses out. When installing the new lens, you just place them near the goggle frame, and the magnets do most of the work for you. Then you click the side locks back into place. It works pretty smoothly most of the time. Every once in a while I had to re-adjust the lenses a bit to make sure they were in the right place. But it is easy to do while on the go, and doesn’t take much effort at all.
Vents
These goggles come with a variety of venting, which is great for preventing fog while riding, hiking, or warmer temps. There are vents all around the frame. Top, bottom and sides. I love that the top vents are covered by a hard plastic cover. I’ve put my fingers through many top vent foam before, as well as had ice build up and have the venting rip off when I take my goggles off after a stormy day of riding. So having the top vent cover is awesome.
Sizing
The Roca Women’s goggles are meant to be women’s specific sizing (or possibly a smaller framed face sizing). However, they are quite wide, and I found the bridge of the nose area a bit bigger than I would have wanted for my face. I usually do well in a medium frame goggle. But because these have a wider fit, the helmet kind of pushed them down further on my nose than I would have liked. But they had a decent fit if I wasn’t wearing a helmet. I feel like the sizing is a bit larger than the average women’s google out there. So it just depends on what your sizing needs are.
The Lens
I tested the darker black lens with the Roca Goggles. Which has a VLT rating of 8%. These lenses are good for sunny or partly sunny days. They did fine on 1/2 overcast days when there was still a little light peeking through the clouds. And were dark enough for full California sunny days. However they aren’t a total black out lens, even though they look that way from the outside. I feel like they are a great medium dark lens that gives you the flexibility to not switch lenses out if a few clouds decide to show up and darken the sky a bit.
Fit With Glasses
What I liked about the wider fit, is that I could actually wear my glasses under the goggles if I wanted. There are few goggles that comfortably fit glasses under them. This is one plus to having the wider goggle frame.
Cost / Value
The Wildhorn Outfitters Roca Women’s Goggles come with a lot of features that you see on more expensive goggle models. And these goggles sell for $70 full price. I feel like you get a good quality and value for the price point they are at.
