Snowboard Addiction Instructional Video 2013 - 2011 Review by The Good Ride

There aren’t many instructional videos out there. Of the videos out there this is by far the best. The logic behind Snowboard Addiction breaks snowboarding down into simple logical steps that help you understand the processes of turning correctly to throwing a 720.

Ethics Statement: We don’t get paid by the manufacturer to write these reviews.  No one is perfect and we do make money from the “Where To Buy” links below, but this is our best attempt at an honest and objective review from an average riders’ perspective.

These instructors that have created the videos are Level 3 and have coached a lot as well. The people involved with the production of these videos are serious about riding as well. If you follow all the instructions to the T it will provide brilliant insight into how to do these moves. We still don’t feel you can completely learn all the tricks by just watching this video. That being said It will help you accelerate through lessons and considerably reduce the amount of cash you will have to shell out. Snowboard Addiction also has webcam/phone coaching.

It’s hard to swallow your pride and admit you need a lesson (mainly if you are a guy) but it is so worth it to break something down before trying to do what you see someone else do. Stacking hard in the park has heavy consequences and learning by your self leads to many hospital bills. We are reviewing the complete set of lessons that have everything except the Learn to Ride video for beginners. Snowboard addiction has done a good job working out all the details except for riding the pipe. We don’t know why that isn’t a full course. Other than the pipe Snowboard Addiction really gets down to the minor details and we like this. Some will like the music but others will feel like you are at a cheesy night club. Hell, you can’t win with music though because someone will hate it. At least it’s more like 50/50 hate/like and doesn’t affect your ability to learn what is going on. We were also impressed with the camera angles. They really give you the right perspective to show what they are talking about from start to finish. They even pull the John Madden-like arrows and lines to show you where to look or how to set things up. Each DVD is mostly Jibbing or Jumping lessons. However, on occasion, they have little bonuses like in Jumping volume one they show you a detailed break down of how to tune your board. We have noticed that the download can get a bit pixelated but that is expected when it is only 2Gb for the equivalent of 5 DVDs (probably 10-15Gbs) that you would receive for the DVDs. It can get a bit annoying at times but never keeps you from understanding the tricks.
