I am 6’3.5” 245lbs and the standard size length of 85 inches fits me with plenty of room to spare.

The ceramic-based pigment in the dye refracts your body’s heat.

Temperature Regulation

The Sea to Summit Reactor Thermolite Sleeping Bag Liner adds a solid 10-20 degrees to your sleeping bag’s temperature rating. The nighttime low when I used this was around 10-12 degrees. I slept in the Sea to Summit Spark Ultralight 5 degree sleeping bag. My upper body was warm but my feet had gotten cold by the middle of the night. Once I added the liner my feet were no longer cold, and my upper body was almost too warm. 

Hood

Basic synch pull chord system to tighten the hood around your head or shoulders.

The Sea to Summit Reactor Thermolite Sleeping Bag Liner weighs 0.8lbs.

Zippers

To minimize weight and volume, there are no zippers.

Shape

Classic tapered mummy bag shape with a lot of space in the foot area.

Fabric

Thermo-light pro technology is woven with hollow fibers. Ceramic-based pigment dye reflects body heat. Soft to the touch. Feels like a jersey bed sheet. If you don’t like the feeling of a sleeping bag against your skin, this liner will make it feel like your wrapped in sheets.

Use Without a Sleeping Bag

This liner works great for summertime sleeping. Whenever you’re in a situation where it’s warm enough to sleep with a thin blanket or just a bed sheet, this will work by itself, basically as a bed sheet sleeping bag. 

Final Thoughts

I think packing a high-quality liner like the Sea to Summit Reactor Thermolite Sleeping Bag Liner is a necessity for anybody going out on cold-weather trips. This liner can easily make or break your trip. The difference between being cold all night, and not being fully rested and recovered the next day is massive. Especially when you are out in Avalanche or high-exposure terrain. Maintaining clear decision-making from a full night’s rest can be the difference between life and death in the backcountry. So for me, an emergency insulation layer is an essential part of my mandatory first aid kit, on top of a space blanket in case your sleeping bag and liner get soaked.
