Pro-Tec Classic 2013 - 2011 Review by The Good Ride

The Protec Classic snowboarding helmet is just a brain bucket that looks like a skate helmet and is a great low-cost way to keep what is in your head from leaking out. They have been at this forever and this is built well.  It’s heavy and the profile isn’t low but if you skate you’ll like having this on the hill or in the park.

Good but not great for snow

Great for multi-sport use, comfortable neck strap and good for short to moderate term use. When used for long-term (5+ hours), certain pressure points develop on the top and back of the skull that become painful to the point of causing a headache. Also, in cold windy weather, the removable ear muffs mean that you will feel the chilly breeze running through your head and neck despite a fleece neck warmer.
