Weight: Solo Hammock Weight -13.3 oz

Packability: This hammock packs down to a smaller package than your average parachute hammock set up. The hammock, tree straps, and whoopie slings all fit into the stuff sack attached to the hammock. All packed away, the stuff sack measures 7 x 4 inches.

Dimensions: Solo Hammock Size – 9′ x 4′

Durability

The solo hammock supports up to 300 lbs. The hammock is made out of 40 Denier Ripstop Nylon, and is triple stitched. The whoopie slings are made from Dyneema™ rope, which is is the worlds strongest fiber, so should hold up pretty good for you as well.

Functionality

The Solo Hammock hanging system took a bit to figure out. Once you get the hang of how the whoopie slings work, the whole system is super simple to set up and take down. And it is a lighter, smaller hanging system as opposed to using full tree hugger straps. So it saves weight and space and should hold up really well.

Overall

The Solo Hammock size took a bit of getting used to when sleeping. I’m used to sleeping in my double hammock, I like my extra leg room. But if you are going for the most compact and lightweight option, the Solo Hammock fits that bill. I slept in the Solo Hammock with the TopQuilt and UnderQuilt from Outdoor Vitals, and it made for a very light but comfortable sleep system for hammock camping. And all together it is a pretty affordable price for ultralight gear.
