Packability: These pants pack down way better than your generic pant option. They have a lot of features, but those features do not take up any extra space in the pants, which I thought was really cool.

Durability: I felt totally confident to hike through brush and trees, and do whatever in these pants. I wasn’t worried about the fabric snagging or tearing at all. They seem well made and well put together. But on top of all that, they do come with a lifetime warranty from Outdoor Vitals, in case something does end up going wrong.

Functionality: You can tell the Satu Pants had a lot of thought put into the features and construction. They come with a lot of useful features. The high waist built-in belt keeps your pants from falling down, but it is high enough so it isn’t rubbing between you and your backpack if you are hiking. The lay flat cargo pocket seems like it isn’t even there unless you put something in it. The hidden cinch cord at the bottom of the pant legs double as a pant leg adjustment, or a boot gaiter with a little clip to clip onto your shoelace.

I loved how quickly these pants dried. I totally soaked them and left them to dry for about 40 min. They were completely dry within that time except for a few areas that had more fabric like a couple parts near the pockets and seams. And they were really water resistant. I ran water over them for a long time, and the water never passed to the inside of the fabric. The only time it saturated the pants is when I squeezed the water through. The fabric is water resistant, but it also comes with a DWR coating.

These pants have a comfortable stretch to them, but are completely spandex free. So they are also bacteria / smell resistant too.

They have two very concealed side/thigh vents so you can regulate your temperature while hiking or biking or whatever.

The Satu Adventure Pants also come in Shorts. These shorts have the same functions, minus the boot gaiter/ pant leg adjustment.

Overall

Like all the other gear I’ve tried from Outdoor Vitals, these Satu Pants come with everything you need, and nothing you don’t. They kept them simple and to the point, but also very functional. I even slept in them a couple times when I was camping, and they didn’t look all wrinkled in the morning at all. If you are looking for some lightweight, quick drying adventure pants that you can go hiking in, but also wear around town, maybe check out the Satu Adventure Pants from Outdoor Vitals.
