Klymit 20F Synthetic Sleeping Bag 2020 Review by The Good Ride

How This Review Happened: Steph owns this.
Testers: Steph
Weight: 3.7 lbs
Packability: This bag has medium packability. It packs down to 17.75 x 9.5 x 9.5 in in the stuff sack provided. It takes some effort to get it all in the bag though. Mainly because the end of the bag billows up with air when you are trying to shove it in. I did backpack with this bag, but it was a bit on the bigger side for my liking as far as backpacking goes. I think I’m going to use this more for car camping or front country camping.
Dimensions: 8″ x 2.6″ x 1″
Durability: The bag seems well built for the price it costs. I really like the burly zipper it comes with. So far I haven’t had any issues with it.
Functionality: I love that Klymit made this bag stretchy. It forms to your body when you move around, but it isn’t restricting at all. Although it was a little big for my preference in backpacking bags, it was one of the most comfortable nights I’ve had on trail. So I guess it just depends on your comfort to weight/packability preference. The draw strings at the top work great at customizing how much air you want to let into the bag at night.
I run pretty cold at night, and I was super comfortable in this back sleeping at 10,000 ft and around 40 degrees at night this summer. So much so, that I was able to sleep without socks and be perfectly warm. (which I’ve never done before). I noticed the bag liked to slide around a bit. So if you have a slippery sleeping pad it may not stay in place all night. But it stayed in place on my foam mat I was using.
Overall: The Klymit 20F Synthetic Sleeping Bag has great warmth and comfort for the price point it sells at. I was happy with my purchase of this bag. It was a little bigger than I was expecting it to be. But it is going to make a great car camping bag or front country bag.
