Burton Stiletto Restricted 2013 Review by The Good Ride

The 2013 Burton Restricted Stiletto added Re:Flex tech to the Restricted Stiletto this year which makes it a great choice over the regular disc binding that’s living in the past.  This is our favorite Stiletto model.

Ethics Statement: We don’t get paid by the manufacturer to write these reviews.  No one is perfect and we do make money from the “Where To Buy” links below, but this is our best attempt at an honest and objective review from an average riders’ perspective.

The Burton Stiletto Restricted Re:Flex is our favorite binding for 2 reasons.
1.  It works with Burton and Non-Burton boards.

2.  It offers a really lively flex underfoot at a decent price point.

Flex: Same flex but a better feel underfoot than the disc model.

Adjustability: Same adjustability as all the other Stiletto models.  It’s easy but not effortless.

Comfort: The binding isn’t at the top of the Burton line but it’s pretty good for its price range and doesn’t evoke pressure points for most riders.

Heel-Toe Response: Pretty average response and it feels a little better than the Disc Model but it’s still going to work best with easier turning boards.

Tip-Tail Response: Way better than the disc but not as good as the EST.  Still, you can use this with any board and it makes it flex underfoot pretty well when it comes to a butter. The larger ankle strap offers a better butter leverage too.

Boot Support: Like the larger ankle strap give more outer support and feels better.  Its small on the inside and large on the outside to make for better outside support.

Ratchet System: The toe ratchet isn’t as good as the ankle ratchet but they both never really catch much and are very good compared to other bindings in this price range.

Shock Absorption: Excellent shock absorption and it creates a nice extra buffer between your board and your boots.
