Lib Tech Mayhem Short Fat 2018 Review by The Good Ride

The Lib Tech Mayhem Short Fat is a super short fatty collab with Lost that takes a very aggressive approach to short fatty riding.  It’s one of those boards that can do a lot more than taking an old school camber approach to powder and when it’s all about groomers it can shine there as well. Lots of spring out of the turn or from an ollie too. It’s like the Anti 420 from Yes.  This has a similar short fat shape but instead of flat to rocker it’s got a pretty much full camber C3 profile. The 420 is a much more effortless float in powder but the Mayhem shines on groomers too and it makes it better all conditions ride.  Not sure if this is an everyman’s board but we think this could make the right kind of aggressive snow surfer pretty happy.

Been riding 151cm-153cm full twins since 1996ish so it took a good 4hrs on it to learn how it wants you to ride it. Ollie’s go from do-able initially to the moon. I now have close to 20 rides on it over last two winters and it’s my fav regardless of snow conditions. It destroys groomers. Carving is where it shines. I’m nothing overly special; just like to have fun.....and this board brings all smiles to anyone I’ve let demo it. Small clip from Feb 2018 on mine at our local Midwest bump:
