Volcom Knox Insulated Gore-Tex 2020 - 2019 Review by The Good Ride

I like that you get the Gore-Tex as well as insulation with these pants. Would make for a great storm riding pant for those cold wet days. The only thing I wasn’t excited about was the rather small pockets in the front, but that’s not really a big deal. The sizing was also a little big around the waist than some other smalls I’ve tried but everything else about the pants seemed to be well thought out.

Size: Small
Steph’s Specs:
Height: 5’3”
Weight: 108 lbs
Waist: 27”
Hips: 35”
Inseam 29”
Upper Thigh 19” Circumference
Middle Thigh 18” Circumference
Calves 13”

Fit: A tailored fit that isn’t super restricting. You get the style points for looking good but also enough room to move around and even layer up if you want.

Construction: Seems to be very well made and should last for a while. Has a nice re-enforced hem on the back of the pant leg as well.

Insulation/Warmth: 60g of insulation make these pants really warm, and pair that with the waterproofing of

Gore-Tex and you are ready for whatever comes your way.

Waterproofing: The pants have 28k Gore-Tex so should have no problem with water. They also didn’t have that real loud crinkle that you get from some Gore-Tex materials and they moved pretty well too.

Breathability: 20k breathability

Packability: Semi-packable

Overall

The Volcom Knox pants would be a nice choice for a warmer insulated pant that has great waterproofing. They are constructed well and are comfortable to wear, they do seem to run a little big around the waist, but have adjusters to fix that. Should be a decent choice if you see a lot of wet snow or like storm riding.
