Lib Tech Worlds Greenest Snowboard 2016-2017 Review and Buying Advice

Lib Tech Worlds Greenest Snowboard 2017 - 2016 Review by The Good Ride

The Lib Tech Wittlake FM (AKA Greenest Board Ever) is a board that we instantly felt at home with and if the one size fits you it could be a fun freeride board.

Its funny about public perception of environmental responsibility among snowboard companies. First off, unless you split board there isn’t much that’s green about the sport.  We want it to be green but we ride chair lifts, man made snow and sit in resorts that suck a ton of power/water. Second the construction of most snowboards isn’t even close to green. Mervin (Lib/Gnu) actually have hands down the most environmentally friendly construction process of any board we have come across. Boards are made of fiberglass for the topsheet, ABS sidewalls and lot’s of other toxic stuff.  Mervin avoids almost everything toxic and is getting closer and closer to making a truly environmentally responsible board. There is actually too much to talk about what they do on this review where most companies can be summarized in one sentence. Check their site to see their tech as well as their Environmental page and then compare it to the company you think is more green.
