K2 Eighty Seven 2019 - 2017 Review by The Good Ride

The first time we tried the K2 Eighty-Seven in 2017, Peter hated and I thought was ok but felt really chattery.  I took it out again in late spring/early summer conditions to find that the ride was much better a year later.  Maybe it was the conditions before or maybe there were some tweaks to the production model from the 2017 demo we tried but regardless it was a more fun ride.  So here is my take after a morning on it thanks to Gravity Sports at Mt. Bachelor. Overall it had a good feel underfoot and it’s a pretty recommendable ride for those that want a solid slashy ride on powder and groomers.

The 2019 k2 Eighty-Seven hasn’t changed from the 2018 so the 2018 review still stands. Only thing I noticed is they added a 153 and 157 to the mix.

I also did a quick measurement of the set back on board compared to the set back on side cut.  At a 22.75″ stance width you can get as far as 7″ back on board with normal disc bindings and a little further with mini discs.
