Alloy Sniper 2017 - 2016 Review by The Good Ride

The Alloy Sniper is an old school camber board that was very well known in the early 2000’s but these days is more rare. It’s a fun poppy carvy camber board but it’s got the same limitations in terms of float and forgiving nature that camber has.  In a lot of ways it feels like a similar ride to the Slash ATV and Burton Custom X but a little better suited for lighter riders.

Size: 158
Days:  2
Conditions: Really good snow one day and pretty hard snow the other.
Riders: James, Matt,
Boots: Adidas Tactical ADV, Burton Rover
Bindings:  Burton Genesis X,
Set Up:   Set back a good bit, 15 front -6 back about 22.75″ wide\

Here is there website alloysnow.com

Size: 158
Days:  3
Conditions: Some perfect groomers, some decent powder about 1.5′ – 2′ deep and some bad stormy/icy conditions.  Every day was freezing fucking cold.

16/17 Sniper is great

I am Korean snowboarder. I started 8yesrs ago.
Before I bought 16/17 Alloy Sniper. I used Japanese snowboard.
I used it too many years. I had to change board. There were good and bad issues of Alloy snowboards last year. I was worried to buy Sniper. Becuase most Korean snowboard brands were out of business or selling cheap brand. Or hide it is Korean brand and pretend to foreign brand. So I emailed to Gatsby(Owner of Alloy snowboard and great snowboard gear reviewer)
He emailed me back. 'Try our 16/17 trial Alloy boards first. 16/17 Alloy snowboards are all innovations. just ride it and give us thought."
16/17 Alloy Sniper was really good. much better than I expected. Really fast and great edge grip and great reaction. It was little difficult to control. but, I enjoyed very much. I gave back to Gatsby trial Sniper. I told him my thought about sniper. and He said thank you for enjoying and help to innovate. I went to shop and bought Sniper. I am proud of Alloy snowboard is Korean brand.

(Important) Things that you guys know wrong

I was quite surprised that Alloy board is posted on thegoodride.com. It was also really impressive the board made since only one year ago well rated by this prestigious website, but as i said, it has been only a year - not \"well known in 2000\"

I think there are some confusion, and i also know it\'s not big problem, but the website should have known exact information about this board, for preventing someone being confused.

To tell the truth, Alloy company is from South Korea, founded since 2015, by some popular snowboard reviewer. The reviewer was a kind of highly influential guy in the most popular snowboard website in Korea (www.hungryboarder.com), thus when he first founded and produce this board, everyone was freaked out. YEAH, this is high quailty board, and have a lot of technology inside.

However, since quite many guys have used this board, there are quite many complaints with this now. The most remarkable thing is they get some crack really easily. So the company gave out some metal fixtures to avoid that, but it still has the problem..

Due to lack of informations and time, I cant talk about this board exactly. But for the customers who want to buy this, you guys should search about this for sure
