Volcom Pat Moore 2018 - 2016 Review by The Good Ride

The Volcom Pat Moore Jacket provides pretty good waterproofing along with enough insulation as well as a pretty decent fit. To me, it’s best as a stand-alone shell but that’s my personal preference. 3 in 1’s are always a compromise in some place and in this case the removable insulating layer is the weaker of the two which is how I’d rather see it than the outer layer.  However, that’s the way I like it with 3 in 1’s and most are like that.  It works as a way to get some warmth though and integrates well enough with the jacket.  If you throw it away from you still have a decent shell for everything but wet weather.  As you can see here some wet snow was a bit more than it could handle.
