The Xion Protective Gear Womens Bermuda Freeride Pant has been designed to offer you all round protection for the waist, hips, thighs and knees. Because of its low profile it fits under most pants and works around most boots.
Xion Protective Gear Women Bermuda Freeride Video Review
Size Tried: Large
Weight: 160 lbs.
Hips: 40 ¼”
Upper Thigh: 24.5”
Above Knee: 22”
Fit: Great fit and low profile, although it’s not really easy to get it over a first layer. Because the pant ends just under the knee it will work great with snowboard boots
Construction: Firm construction and everything is double stitched so this will last a really long time. Despite being double stitched it doesn’t compromise on flexibility and comfort.
Protection: It has a total of 9 pads and if you think that you don’t need all the pads, all of them are removable except for the tailbone pad. The thigh protection isn’t really necessary if you just stay on the slopes but if you are hitting the park or go freeriding, I would definitely put them back in.
Breathability: The Xion Bermuda Pant breathes well and they put mesh in the hot spots like the back of your knee and on your butt.
Overall: Great pant with the protection on all the right spots although I would like to see that the tailbone protection was 1” longer towards the bottom so that it offers a little more protection. All and all Xion got this pant right for snowboarders and it works around boots really well. I did try several other protection pants but they all seemed very bulky and large. Because of that I couldn’t fit it under my snowboard pants and Xion made sure it’s a low profile fit.
