The K2 Raider is a comfortable well-made entry-level BOA Boot that can help you progress. Great for the 10- 20 day a year rider or a good beginner to intermediate.

Reduced Footprint: K2’s boots don’t have a reduced footprint and run on the longer/wider side of the spectrum

Flex: Pretty medium to a little bit on the med/soft side.

Comfort:  K2 is pretty good at eliminating pressure points with single BOA boots and K2 knows how to build a boot around a foot. It fits a wide variety of feet.

Heel Hold:  Even though the Raider doesn’t have much going on with the liner like the higher end tech it still has a good BOA system that can lock in an ankle/heel.

Adjustability:  It’s quick to lace up and take off but it’s got no way to customize to your upper and lower parts connected to the boot.

Flex Retention:  Not bad for a $200 boot and it can hang in there for a few seasons easy if you don’t ride a lot. Even lower-end K2 boots hold their flex rather well.

Response:  Not bad for most boards you want to ride.

Traction:  Pretty good traction.

Shock Absorption:  Not bad here but doesn’t have their higher end shock absorption tech.

This isn’t going to blow you away but you get what you pay for and possibly a little more.  If heel lock, easy in and out is more important than adjustability and having a reduced footprint then the Raider might be a good choice.
