Burton Frontier 2015 Review by The Good Ride

The Burton Frontier Jacket is not quite a top-end jacket that I’d want to be out on a frontier with but it’s more than fine for riding the mountain with.

Size Tried: Large
Peter’s Specs:
Height: 5’11”,
Weight: 175 lbs,
Upper Body-:38” Chest
Lower Body: 32” Waist
Turn On’s: Size M Jackets or size L Jackets that Biesty gives me, size M pants, Getting Barreled, Spearing Sail Fish, Women with a pulse.
Turn Off’s: Not that much

The fit is a little on the tight side and while this Size Large fit Peter, ok but my thicker frame that normally works well with size large was on the border between a size Large and a size XL.

The waterproofing is average and it’s good enough for the occasional wet snow days.  The Breathability is on par with the waterproofing and it’s average as well.

There is some warmth going on so it’s a little more than a shell and with an extra layer or 2 it can keep you warm on pretty cold days.

The articulating hood covers a lot of the face and there is only a little exposed area on your cheeks below your goggles.  It’s better than most of the articulating hoods I’ve come across.

So all in all the Frontier Jacket isn’t a bad jacket for those that want something just a little warmer than a shell.
